Borthwick and Carnoy, fomerly the global heads of equity/equity-linked markets and IG capital markets, are expected to announce their senior management teams.

An announcement could come as early as this week, according to sources familiar with the process.

Thomas Moynihan, the bank’s newly installed CEO, last month tapped former global markets head Bruce Thompson to be the bank’s chief risk officer, overseeing risk-management practices across all business lines. Thompson is viewed as a key link between the bank and investment banking.

Separately, the bank installed Rupert Hume-Kendall as chairman of global capital markets. Hume-Kendall will work closely with Borthwick and Carnoy, and will report to Andrea Orcel, executive chairman global banking and markets.

Borthwick and Carnoy will be based in New York and report to Tom Montag, global banking and markets president.
